Due to the significant nature of Storm Barra, as forecast by Met Éireann and to give sufficient notice to schools and parents/guardians, the Department of Education is advising that all schools covered by the Red Alert and Orange weather warnings should not open tomorrow, Tuesday 7th December. As Mayo is currently in the orange weather area, we are not in a position to open. We expect to reopen on Wednesday 8th December.
