St Muredach's College

Leaving Certificate

Senior Cycle is the period of education that follows Junior Cycle or Transition Year. It is generally taken by students between the ages of 15 and 18. In the spring prior to Senior Cycle, students at St Muredach's choose four optional subjects for the Leaving Certificate. These are studied for two years, along with the three core subjects, Irish, English and Mathematics, for the Leaving Certificate examinations..

The following senior cycle subjects are offered to students at St. Muredach's. Each one listed is linked to the NCCA (National Council for Curriculum and Assessment) webpage for that subject.
